Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations & Rescheduling

• Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time for a full refund.

• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will result in forfeiture of 50% of the total fee

Same-Day Cancellations

• Same-day cancellations are non-refundable.

Emergency Cancellations

• In the event of a documented medical emergency or unforeseen circumstance, cancellation fees may be reviewed at the Notary’s discretion.

No-Shows & Late Arrivals

• Failure to appear at the scheduled appointment time will result in forfeiture of the full payment.

• Appointments delayed more than 15 minutes may be canceled and treated as a no-show if prior notification is not received.

Approved Travel Appointments

• Travel is available only for pre-approved appointments.

• A $20 travel fee applies within Lynchburg, VA city limits.

• Appointments outside city limits are subject to the current standard federal mileage rate.

• Travel fees are non-refundable once the Notary has begun travel to the approved location.

Document Readiness & Refused Signings

• Fees are for the Notary’s time, availability, and travel (when applicable).

• Fees are non-refundable if documents presented by the signer are incomplete, incorrect, unsigned, if required identification is not provided, or if a signer refuses to sign.

• If a notarial error is made by the Notary, corrections will be completed promptly at no additional charge.
